How do I get to you?
Truve is centrally located in the heart of downtown Oakland at 420 14th st. We are accessible by BART ( 12th St station), bicycle (we provide space for you to store your bike inside), or by car. We validate parking M-F 8am-5pm in the garage located at 420 13th st, Oakland, Ca 94612. Additionally we will reimburse you for parking fees associated with street parking or the lot #28 located at 1427 Franklin St, Oakland, Ca 94612 M-F 4pm and later as well as weekends.
How do I register for classes?
Visit www.truvefit.com/memberships . After filling out the form you must secure your membership with your payment. We offer unlimited memberships as well as class packages. We accept cash, check or credit card, which can be paid securely in person at our new home Truve, located at 2345 Broadway, Oakland, Ca 94612 or through our website online. Once we've received your information, we'll contact you to confirm your registration. Additionally, you can call 510-918-4280 to speak with Alison directly about registration for class or 510-788-8909 to speak with our front desk.
How do I register for individual or small group training sessions?
If you are interested in working in a one on one setting or small group training setting with a friend or two, you should fill out the contact form under contact. After completing this, you will get a call within the next 24-48 hours from Alison to schedule an initial consultation, where she will discuss your goals and suggest the best program for you to achieve all your health and fitness goals.
Can I pay for individual or group training sessions online?
At this moment in time you can purchase your group fitness membership and class packages online though our website www.truvefit.com. All payments for personal, buddy, and trio training can be paid via Venmo, Square, and Zelle.
Who will I work with?
Who you will work with depends on what you health and fitness goals are, your budget, and your preferred training availability.
Who decides who I will work with?
Alison will determine during your initial call based on your goals, schedule, and budget who would be the best fit for your needs.
What can I expect from a typical workout with a trainer?
Depending on what your goals are, you may be doing anything from running the Cleveland Cascade stairs to improve explosive power to bridges on a Pilates reformer. All workouts are tailored to individually fit you and your level of fitness in a way to help you reach well beyond your goals and aspirations. No two workouts are ever the same, ensuring you the best results!
What is virtual training?
Virtual training is a way to make personal training more affordable and accessible to people all around the world. Virtual training gives you the tools you need to be successful in attaining your fitness goals and lifestyle changes. Virtual training consists of a personalized fitness program comprised of full length follow along workouts that you receive via our On Demand platform each month, weekly text check ins, photo weight ins (when necessary) and unlimited email questions .
How can I register and pay for Virtual Training?
Please fill out the application under contact and indicate you are interested in Virtual training. You will receive an email and text to schedule call to discuss your goals from Alison or one of her qualified trainers if you live in the United States or via WhatsApp if you live outside the United States. Payment is accepted via Venmo, Square, Paypal, and Zelle.
I have a history of injuries, can I still participate in group fitness classes?
Depending on the severity of the injuries you still may be able to participate in group fitness classes. During your initial call or orientation and evaluation we will decide if group fitness classes are the best fit for you or if you should do some one on one training before participating in group fitness classes. Your health, wellness, and safety are our first priority. All of our trainers are highly qualified and knowledgeable in the rehabilitation of injuries, and will gladly get you to a place where you can participate in group fitness classes.
I am new to exercise/ I haven’t worked out in forever, will I be able to participate?
YES! One on one sessions are designed to help anyone of any level achieve their health and fitness goals, and our group fitness classes have been developed to accommodate elite athletes as well as beginners. If you have any concerns about this, you should bring these up in your initial consultation or evaluation.
What do I need to bring?
In order to participate in any of our fitness programs you must have proper athletic attire, especially a sturdy pair of athletic or running shoes. All participants should bring water to stay hydrated.
Is there a refund policy?
If you are unable to attend group fitness classes due to extreme circumstances out of your control, we will allow you to participate in another class. There is otherwise a no refund policy.
I have been placed on a waiting list, what does this mean?
If you are interested in one on one or small group training sessions and you are placed on a waiting list, this simply means that our highly qualified trainers can no longer take on new clients, but should be able to help you reach your health and fitness goals shortly. If you are placed on a waiting list for our group fitness classes that simply means the class you are interested in taking is full, and you should pre-register for your classes up to a week in advance through our online system.
