" Alison helped motivate our staff to be healthier through monthly challenges, workouts, weigh-ins, and education. Overall, we have noticed a change in the energy around the office, and we have Alison to thank for giving us the push we needed to get up from our desks and move. We even do green smoothies as an office now!" ~ Mona A. North American General Manager, Belcorp, San Francisco, Ca
Wellness programs are linked to greater productivity, less absenteeism, and a reduction of long-term health care costs. Are you doing enough to ensure the health of your workforce?
Workplace wellness is any program that aims to improve the health of your employees and their families while reducing your health-related costs as an employer. Many companies implement comprehensive wellness programs that focus on preventive health and lifestyle modification. This means encouraging employees to focus on key health behaviors such as increasing physical activity, improving eating habits, reducing stress, and ceasing tobacco use.
Before what may seem like another costly employee benefit program scares you off, consider the savings. For many companies, wellness programs actually save money in the long run. In fact, in a 2008 survey of 628 employer groups conducted by Buck Consultants, 74% of U.S. companies cited reducing health care costs as their number-one motivator. But there are many other reasons. Other motivators identified in the survey included improving employee productivity, reducing health-related absences, improving employee morale, and retaining employees. Health and efficiency have a clear relationship—healthy employees take fewer sick days and are more productive at work—and businesses are starting to take notice.
If you don't have a program in place or you are looking to improve upon the program you have, you have come to the right place. Alison and her team can help you your employees get on the right track. We will help set up a program that includes the following:
Programs can be set up to meet your company's goals and budget. It is highly recommended to meet with Alison or one of her team members on a weekly basis, but no less than once a month to ensure a successful wellness program. We do work with companies who are located outside of the greater San Francisco bay area via Zoom and email and on occasion travel to do in house meetings. We have a 3 month minimum commitment for all of our programs.
